UAlg offers Summer Concert by Orquestra do Algarve

The University of Algarve (UAlg) will offer a summer concert, by the Orquestra do Algarve, this Saturday, June 15th, from 21pm, at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Grand Auditorium, on the Gambelas Campus (Faro).

In a program where women will shine, the Orquestra do Algarve welcomes Polish conductor Zofia Kiniorska for a special concert in which, for the first time, the music of Frenchwoman Émilie Mayer, a 19th century composer, who stood out for her writing will be heard in our country. of symphonies, a rare audacity in his time.

This program is also dedicated to the anniversary of the Algarve Musical Association which, for this reason, highlights two soloists from its violin sections, Sara Cymbron and Bojana Pantovic, for the interpretation of the two Beethoven Romances.

The initiative is free entry, but subject to room capacity.
