“Cool” went to schools in Aljezur to talk about urban waste

On the 12th, 13rd and 14th of June

“Cool”, Algar’s mascot, was at Escola Básica Professora Piedade Matoso, in Aljezur, to raise awareness among pre-school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle students about urban waste, on the 12th, 13th and 14th of June.  

The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Aljezur, in collaboration with Algar – a reference company in the environmental sector in the Algarve region, and took to the school grounds a mobile unit equipped with interactive exhibition panels and several multimedia games of an environmental nature about importance of the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle waste.

The visit to this traveling exhibition also offered children the experience of watching a 3D film, composed of an animation starring Algar's mascot, “Cool”, which explains the main aspects of the collection, sorting and recovery activities of urban waste. in the Algar System.
