Olhão Museum organizes guided tour of Olhão’s architecture

Registration, free, is limited to 15 participants

The Olhão Museum organizes next Saturday, June 22nd, starting at 10:30 am, a guided tour about the city's architecture. 

The route, which is carried out in partnership with the Algarve Regional Section of the Order of Architects, will feature explanations from architect Marta Santos.

“Local architecture – practices and knowledge in construction” is the theme of the tour, which also includes the collaboration of the architecture firm Sena Architects and the company JMC Construções.

For approximately two hours, it will be possible to visit some buildings in different stages of construction and understand the construction systems used, the new rehabilitation techniques and the dynamics of housing use according to the evolution of time.

This initiative, open to the general public, aims to publicize the heritage built in Olhão and promote within the community the use of appropriate techniques for the rehabilitation of properties with heritage value.

Registration, free of charge, is limited to 15 participants and must be made by June 21st, at 16:30 pm, to the email [email protected].
