Singer and composer Miguel Araújo begins a mini tour today on the barrier islands of Ria Formosa, in the Algarve, with four sessions, until Sunday, under an initiative by Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.

This is the fourth edition of the “On Board” initiative, which last year featured Dino D'Santiago, in 2022 with Branko, and in 2021 with Captain Fausto.

Miguel Araújo performs today on the island of Culatra, on Friday on the island of Hangares, on Saturday on the island of Farole on Sunday on Deserta Island.

The sessions, with free access, start at 19pm and last one hour, with special boat trips departing from the Portas do Mar pier, in Faro, whose timetables can be found at www.ilhadeserta.com.

Miguel Araújo is a Portuguese musician, singer, composer and lyricist born in 1978, in Águas Santas, Maia, in the district of Porto.

In addition to his solo repertoire and the band Os Azeitonas, of which he is the founder and in which he remained until 2016, he has written for other Portuguese performers, such as António Zambujo, Ana Moura, Carminho, Raquel Tavares and Ana Bacalhau.
