The State reform approved today by the Council of Ministers will preserve jobs in public administration and workers can rest assured, the Minister of the Presidency assured today.

“This is a reform that preserves jobs in public administration and gradually enhances the positions and situation of workers”, stated António Leitão Amaro.

The Council of Ministers today approved a reform that includes, in the first phase, the move from Monday onwards of several ministries to a common building, Campus XXI, which also houses the headquarters of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, in Lisbon.

The reform also includes the concentration and merger of several common public services, with the minister repeating that “this is a reform that gradually preserves and enhances the positions of public administration workers”, and that allows more to be done with less cost.

“Workers can rest assured,” he assured.
