Six maritime-tourist vessels seized in Ria Formosa

The owners of the vessels have been notified and will only be able to resume maritime tourism activities after the situation has been regularized.

Six maritime-tourist vessels, flying Polish and Norwegian flags, were seized this Tuesday, May 21st, in an inspection action in the Ria Formosa.

The boats were “in an irregular situation due to the lack of inspection and license to carry out maritime-tourist activity, and were seized as a precautionary measure”, says the National Maritime Authority.

The owners of the vessels have been notified and will only be able to resume maritime tourism activities after the situation has been regularized.

Three members of the local command of the Olhão Maritime Police were involved in this action, supported by a vessel, and four inspectors from ASAE.
