São Brás celebrated Family Day with a solidarity walk for children’s rights

The initiative was attended by children and adults dressed in a blue piece of clothing

The Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ) of São Brás de Alportel and the Association of Parents and Guardians of the José Belchior Viegas School Group, with the support of the Municipality, promoted, on the 15th of May, a walk solidarity.

The initiative was attended by children and adults dressed in a blue piece of clothing as it was part of the Blue Ribbon Campaign and Child Abuse Prevention Month program.

In addition to raising awareness among the population regarding childhood abuse, the walk also made it possible to collect food products and children's hygiene products that will be distributed in the future to needy families in the municipality, through the donation of these products at the Social Services Store of the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel.

As part of the Blue Ribbon Campaign, schools in the municipality developed awareness-raising initiatives and the “Liberdade” Sculpture, installed on Avenida da Liberdade, was once again decorated with a blue ribbon with the aim of raising awareness among the entire community.
