Quarteira serves “Petiscos do Pescador” to the sound of Zé Amaro, Iris and Deejay Telio

On the 1st, at 18pm, on the beach in front of Passeio das Dunas, the traditional lavada will take place

The Fisherman's Petiscos Festival returns from this Friday, May 31st, to Quarteira, with performances by Zé Amaro, Iris and Deejay Telio.

The contest lasts until Sunday, the 2nd.

Snacks and fisherman are, once again, the protagonists of this event that takes place on Passeio das Dunas. Music and gastronomy intertwine in this cultural event, in which the tradition of the fishing community is also in focus, with the washing moment.

In addition to the flavors of seafood and fish, this event also has a musical program that will liven up the venue. This year the highlight is the presence of the popular artist Zé Amaro (May 31st), the rock band Iris (June 1st) and Deejay Telio (June 2nd).

On the 1st, at 18pm, on the beach in front of Passeio das Dunas, the traditional wash will take place.

The moment of washing or dragging ashore is one of the most important points of Fisherman's Day celebrations. The entire population is invited to participate in “pulling the net” to land where you can see the wealth that still exists in the waters that bathe Quarteira in terms of fish. The caught fish is then distributed among those present.

This event is organized by Quarpesca and has the support of the Loulé City Council and the Quarteira Parish Council. Entry is free.
