GNR arrests woman for drug trafficking in Monte Gordo

Boyfriend of alleged drug dealer was made a defendant

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for drug trafficking and her 26-year-old boyfriend was accused of the same crime, following an action carried out by the GNR in Monte Gordo, yesterday, Sunday, May 19th.

During a patrol, soldiers from the Vila Real de Santo António Territorial Post became suspicious of the behavior of a woman traveling in an electric vehicle and approached her.

After finding 16 doses of hashish in the woman's possession, GNR elements discovered that the suspect had more drugs in the house where she lived with her boyfriend, who was eventually identified.

Following the search carried out at the house, 730 doses of hashish, 84 doses of MDMA, two precision scales, a knife and 200 euros in cash were seized.

The detainee and the suspect were accused and the facts were reported to the Judicial Court of Vila Real de Santo António.

The action was reinforced by military personnel from the Castro Marim Territorial Post and the Criminal Investigation Center (NIC) of Tavira.
