Cachopo marks World Environment Day with garbage collection

On the 8th of June

Cachopo will mark World Environment Day, on June 8th, with a program that includes activities such as garbage collection in various locations in the parish and the “Second hand fashion and own upcycling” Workshop. 

Hosted by Cristina Guerreiro, from Konceito.r, this activity, which invites people to create a piece of clothing, is free, but requires registration by email to [email protected].

In the afternoon, the Tertúlia “Circular economy and secondary markets” will take place, with professor Fernando Perna, from the University of Algarve – ESGHT – CiTUR, Sónia Pires, councilor of the Chamber of Tavira with the Environment department and with Cristina Guerreiro, director of konceito-r company.

A parade follows with the pieces created in the “Second hand fashion and own upcycling” workshop, with Cristina Guerreiro.

The day will end with a musical moment by Marc Noah.
