Bootcamp “Faro Next Generation” empowers young people for entrepreneurship

The young people of Faro were able, on the 17th and 18th of May, to test their ability to develop innovative business ideas through the bootcamp “Faro Next Generation”, promoted by the Municipality with the support of Dypall Network.

The event began on Friday morning with the departure of young students from the Tomás Cabreira e Pinheiro e Rosa schools to the Pousada da Juventude de Lagos, where an opening session took place highlighting the importance of youth entrepreneurship for the future of the region . Several integration dynamics followed.

On Friday afternoon, Espaço Jovem de Lagos hosted workshops. At this time, young people were guided on how to identify real problems, create innovative solutions and develop viable business models.

«Group work and a spirit of collaboration allowed participants to apply the knowledge acquired and deepen their ideas», explains the Municipality of Faro.

Saturday morning was used for young people to prepare their final presentations, with guidance and continuous feedback from mentors.

The projects ended up being presented on Saturday afternoon by various groups of young people.
