People with disabilities in the municipality of Albufeira will be able to obtain support to carry out works to eliminate barriers in their homes, under the “Housing Intervention Program”, an initiative financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) in which the municipality of Albufeira participates for the third time.
The project, «aimed at people with a proven disability greater than 60% who are owners or renters of a home or a member of the household», aims to provide financial support – and in full – «works that eliminate possible barriers to the use of the property, up to a limit of 15.500 euros per dwelling».
At issue are interventions such as the elimination of stairs and steps, the construction of ramps, the placement of lifts and/or stairlifts or the expansion and creation of corridors and circulation spaces. The works can be carried out “in common or private parts of the homes”.
