The Prime Minister announced today that, over the next ten days, the Government will begin talks with representatives of teachers and security forces, “with a view to addressing issues related to careers and remuneration status”.
The announcement was made by Luís Montenegro at the start of the debate on the program of the XXIV Constitutional Government in the Assembly of the Republic.
“We will also immediately promote the scheduling of a Social Concertation meeting, with a view to discussing with the social partners the basis of a New Agreement that enshrines the reinforcement of the income and productivity of Portuguese workers and the competitiveness and growth of our economy” , he also said, in an intervention where he announced nine priorities for the executive's first weeks of work.
