Lagos will have “Open Mouth Conversations”

The first of the “Open Mouth Conversations” will be a round table model

The “Conversas de Boca Aberta” project, promoted by the D. Maria II National Theater and the National Arts Plan, will begin on April 19th, starting at 15pm, at the Lagos Cultural Center.

The first session is aimed at culture and education agents.

The “Open Mouth Conversations” are a series of meetings that aim to think about and enhance relationships between cultural and educational institutions.

In this new stage, Boca Aberta is expanding its scope of action, establishing partnerships with cultural facilities and regional artistic structures, with a view to creating a program dedicated to training, thinking and creation for children in various parts of the territory. During 2024, within the scope of the National Odyssey, sessions will be held in Beja, Lagos, Ourém and Ponte de Lima, partners of the initiative.

Another of its main objectives also involves the training of educational and cultural agents, ensuring the sharing of experiences and knowledge and the definition of strategies for artistic creation, audience training and development of the municipalities' cultural offer, which is in line with the proposals presented in the “Strategic Plan for the Culture of Lagos” recently presented by the municipality.

The first of the “Open Mouth Conversations” will be a round table model with the team from the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, with a presentation of the project and its framework to learn about the reality and cultural and educational ecosystem of the municipality of Lagos, through listening to who your direct partners and community are that will be part of this “journey”.

The session is aimed at all agents of culture and education in the territory: teams from the areas of culture (theaters, libraries, museums, archives, among others) and teams from the area of ​​education (responsible for coordinating school equipment, kindergarten teachers and teachers, educational assistants, associations of parents and guardians).

Participation is free, with mandatory registration via of this form.

Boca Aberta is an initiative of the D. Maria II National Theater and the “la Caixa” Foundation, in collaboration with BPI, and in partnership with the National Arts Plan.
