A man suspected of a crime of rape and robbery, committed in Lagoa on January 18, was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ).
According to this police force, the 24-year-old man approached the victim on the public road, at the beginning of the night, and “using physical force, he immobilized her by the neck and took her to an uninhabited residence, where he carried out the attack sexual".
After the rape, he stole her cell phone and fled.
The arrest was made by the Portimão Criminal Investigation Department of the PJ, with the collaboration of the GNR of Lagoa.
The detainee will be present for the first judicial interrogation to apply coercive measures.
