GNR detained 37 people last week in the Algarve

Between the 25st and 31th of March

Between the 25th and 31st of March, the GNR detained 37 people and seized more than 300 doses of drugs. 

The results of the weekly operational activity to combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, were announced this Monday, April 1st. 

Of the 37 arrests, 12 stand out for driving without a legal license, ten for driving under the influence of alcohol and ten for drug trafficking. 

During this period, 310 doses of hashish and 60 doses of cocaine were seized.

In traffic, 428 infractions were detected: 91 for speeding, 27 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 15 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 13 for improper use of a cell phone while driving, 12 for lack of civil liability insurance and six for lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system.

There were also 124 accidents recorded, resulting in 22 minor injuries.
