The Pêra Parish, its Pêra Parish Festival Committee and the Pêra IPSS Parish Center recreate next Sunday, March 24th, from 21pm, the last steps of Christ's life, in a live Stations of the Cross.

The starting point is Largo 25 de Abril, in the village of Pêra, municipality of Silves.

This event counts on the collaboration of around 200 volunteers of the most varied ages and with the institutional partnership of the Municipality of Silves and the Union of Parishes of Alcantarilha and Pêra, with the official sponsorship of Crédito Agrícola Terras do Arade and, also, of some local entities.

Held bi-annually, it is a non-profit event, having only been interrupted due to the pandemic.

Lasting around two hours and just over a kilometer long, the last moments of the life of Jesus Christ will be recreated in 10 scenes, in the streets of the town of Pêra, the first of which is the “Last Supper” and the last the “Calvary” and “Resurrection”.

The activity usually has a significant audience: more than 2500 visitors.
