GNR detained 43 people last week in the Algarve

Between the 4th and 10th of March there were still 132 accidents recorded

Between the 4th and 10th of March, the GNR detained 43 people in the Algarve, reveal the results of operations to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, released this Monday, 11th March. 

Of the 43 arrests, 20 stand out for driving without a legal license, nine for driving under the influence of alcohol and five for drug trafficking. 

During this period, 168 doses of hashish and several articles of clothing were also seized.

In traffic, 384 infractions were detected, of which 98 were due to speeding, 56 due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 31 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 18 due to lack of civil liability insurance, 13 due to improper use of the cell phone while driving and nine due to lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system.

Between March 4th and 10th, 132 accidents were also recorded, resulting in four serious injuries and 21 minor injuries.
