Exhibition in the village of Santa Rita honors 8 women over 75 years old

Exhibition opens on the 8th

The exhibition “Women from my village, Santa Rita. Lives with three quarters of a century” will be inaugurated on March 8th, at 16:30 pm, at the Cacela Heritage Research and Information Center / CMVRSA, at the Former Primary School of Santa Rita.

It is a tribute to eight women from the village of Santa Rita over 75 years old, who stand out for their life stories linked to family, work and the community.

«Stories that are often invisible and silent, which refer to the condition of women in the Algarve region in rural areas», emphasizes the organization.

The opening of the exhibition was symbolically scheduled for Women's Day and will feature the performance “Ai Xico, Xica”, with Xu Pimentão.

«We intend for the honored women, their families, members of the community and the general public to come together here».

The exhibition will be on display throughout this year and can be visited from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 13:00 pm and 14:00 pm and 17:00 pm.
