Consumer confidence rises to maximum since February 2022

The balance of entrepreneurs' expectations regarding the future evolution of sales prices decreased significantly in March in all sectors

The consumer confidence indicator increased between December and March, reversing the downward movement observed in the previous four months and reaching the highest value since February 2022, it was announced today.

In a statement released today, the National Statistics Institute (INE) also reports that the balance of consumer opinions on price developments has decreased in the last two months, after increasing in January.

The prospects for future price developments have also decreased in the last two months, significantly in March, after the significant increase observed in January, he says.

INE also states that the economic climate indicator increased in March, contrary to the reduction observed in the previous month.

Confidence indicators increased in services and, slightly, in commerce, having moderately decreased in the manufacturing industry and in construction and public works.
