Rain gave a truce and did not “extinguish” the São Brás Flower Torches

The song “He is risen as he said! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!" echoed through the streets

The morning started out rainy, but the weather gave an hour's respite and allowed the traditional Florida Torch Festival to return to color in São Brás de Alportel this Easter Sunday, March 31st.

As usual, the Alleluia Procession took place after the Resurrection Mass, in the Main Church.

Hundreds of people once again echoed the chant “He is risen as he said! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!" through the streets of São Brás de Alportel.

The second part of the Hallelujah Monument was scheduled to be inaugurated this Easter Sunday, but this ended up not happening.

The first piece of the monument, which aims to «make visible all year round what is the biggest celebration and the greatest moment of the São Brasense soul», it was inaugurated on January 21st.
