The crew from the Sagres Lifeboat Station rescued, on the afternoon of this Thursday, the 1st, the master of a local fishing vessel that suffered an accident on board, while operating equipment, off Cabo de São Vicente.
The alert, given by another fishing boat crew member, was received at 14:12 pm.
The lifeguard crew rescued the victim, who complained of “severe pain” in one of his arms, and transported him to the port of Baleeira, in Sagres, where the Vila do Bispo Volunteer Firefighters were waiting.
The victim was assisted on the pier by firefighters, and was then transported to the hospital.
