Algarve Tourism Region will be at BTL with a new stand

The stand's concept is based on the Algarve's positioning as “Europe's most famous secret”

A new stand, wine tastings, project presentations, gastronomic demonstrations and much more. The Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) will be, from February 28th to March 3rd, on the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL) with a «programme full of activities». 

«For the Algarve, BTL is a strategic showcase for promoting the region as an excellent tourist destination. The region will be represented by a large stand, with a total area of ​​700 m2, which also brings together the 16 municipalities and 18 companies in the sector and will be the privileged stage for the presentation of its main attractions and new products", says André Gomes, president of the RTA.

The Algarve stand program at BTL promises an immersion in the essence of the region. Between presentations of tourism projects and products, anchor events in the municipalities, gastronomic demonstrations, wine and regional product tastings, and various activities promoted by partners in the region, the stand will be a meeting point for tourism professionals and the general public. This is also the privileged stage for the presentation, by the president of Turismo do Algarve, of the tourist destination's news and bets for 2024, taking place on the 29th of February, starting at 14:30 pm.

The stand's concept is based on the Algarve's positioning as “Europe's most famous secret”. The objective is to publicize and promote not only the beaches and landscapes, but also the region's cultural secret: local crafts.

Therefore, the stand will feature hanging baskets, representing this valuable historical and cultural heritage of the Algarve, basketry and palm making. More than giving life and authenticity to the space, each piece tells a little of the history and craftsmanship of the region, appealing to sustainability and the use of local resources and raw materials.

«The company’s project “Pavilion 3” combines functional and modern design with the human, sustainable and traditional side of a region with unique strengths and characteristics. The Algarve stand will be a testimony to the cultural richness that makes the region and that space a unique, authentic and differentiating experience», says the RTA.

In the BTL restaurant area, the “O Algarvio” restaurant invites you to take a journey through the most authentic flavors of the region: snacks, meat, fish and seafood, without forgetting the delicious desserts made with almonds, figs, egg threads and orange. Algarve.
