“New Moon Nights” are back next Saturday, February 24th (21pm), this time at Tipografia União.

This activity, promoted by the Associação Cultural Música XXI, with the support of the Municipal Museum of Faro, will reveal the secrets of this space, once fundamental to the region.

Tipografia União, which operated between 1909 and 2013 and is about to become a museum center for the written press in the Algarve.

On this visit, the public will be able to have access not only to the newsrooms, where ideas became news, but also to that space where workers transformed news into tangible material: the workshop.

The visit will be attended by Alexandra Gonçalves, responsible for the team that carried out the study for the creation of the museum nucleus. It will show that the history of that space is not confined to Faro, but it covers a culturally relevant region, as well as publicizing the future project that will be implemented there.

Researcher Patrícia de Jesus Palma will also be present, who will reveal details of an invisible world, but which marked the life of this typography.

There will also be a cultural moment, with César Matoso, Joana Coelho and Vítor Pereira and the dramaturgical creation will be signed by Ana Oliveira and António Gambóias.

Entry is free, but a maximum of 30 people can participate, so those interested should register via email at [email protected].
