The Municipality of Castro awarded this Wednesday, January 31st, the contract for paving and repaving the road network in several locations in the municipality.
This is an investment of around 150 thousand euros for this project that will intervene in the Casas da Alcaria Urbanization, in the town of Cerro do Enho, on the access road to Praia Verde, in Monte do Eucalipto (Malhão), on the municipal road between Quinta da Fornalha and Rio Seco (overpass of the A22), on Av. Infante Dom Henrique in Castro Marim, more specifically in front of the EB 2, 3 school in Castro Marim, in the Municipal Warehouses and in the area in front of the EB school 1 from Castro Marim.
«The Casas da Alcaria Urbanization, although it is relatively recent and has already been the target of subsequent municipal intervention, suffers from structural errors, which involve carrying out general sanitation and the respective full paving. In this urbanization, other interventions will be carried out, particularly with regard to waste disposal areas», explains the Castro Marim municipality.
These interventions aim to «create better mobility conditions for passers-by and ensure better circulation conditions and road safety for pedestrians and motorists», says the municipality, adding that «the improvement of streets, as well as the conservation of the good condition of the roads and cleaning the streets are concerns of this municipality, as part of a policy to promote quality of life and improve the urban environment».
