Observe birds, plants, insects and geology at Lagoa dos Salgados to mark Wetlands Day

The initiative is free and does not require registration. Just show up!

One outing for bird watching, others focused on flora, one on the geological characteristics of the place and the identification of insects. These are the proposals for the celebration of International Wetlands Day in Lagoa dos Salgados, a future Natural Reserve, scheduled for next Saturday, February 3rd.

The initiative is mainly intended to draw attention to the importance of the site and the need to protect it.

The event is non-profit, free, requires no registration and involves companies, associations and local citizens. It also has the collaboration of the Portuguese Environment Agency, which will guide a geological tour.

The meeting point is the Praia Grande parking lot.
