Young man dies after being caught by train in Portimão

A 27-year-old young man died on the morning of Friday, January 19th, after being run over by a train, in Portimão. 

The alert was given at 8:13 pm.

According to Correio da Manhã, the young man had «the headphones placed in his ears when he was crossing the line», which meant that he did not hear «the train whistle».

The incident, which interrupted the Algarve Line, mobilized 13 operatives, from the Portimão and INEM Fire Department, supported by five vehicles.
