Aljezur City Council allocated 10 thousand euros to the Aljezur Ecologist and Zoophile Association (AEZA) to help cover expenses.
By the end of the third semester, the association increased its action with the number of cat colonies, veterinary expenses, help for families in the treatment of their pets, as well as a price increase of around 40% in pet food. .
In a press release, the municipality says that the support is due to «the work carried out by AEZA, which is extremely important, and which has been deepened over the years».
