The Aljezur City Council will apply, in 2024, the minimum IMI rate and will waive the municipal benefit of 5% of the IRS paid by citizens, the municipality announced today.

At the Municipal Assembly on the 28th, the executive saw approval for its proposal to maintain the IMI rate on urban buildings, to be charged in 2024, at a minimum value of 0,3% and to dispense with the entire IRS variable to which the Municipality You are entitled to 5%, money that, in this way, will be “on the side” of taxpayers with tax residence in the Municipality of Aljezur.

«It was also decided to reduce the value of the IMI payable on properties for the taxpayer's own or permanent residence or his or her household, depending on the number of dependents», according to Aljezur City Council.

«This continues the commitment made by the Municipal Executive and President José Gonçalves to promote fiscal relief at a municipal level, with the aim of encouraging the retention of staff and technicians, young people and other workers in our municipality, in areas lacking human resources, and which contribute decisively to the development of the municipality and the well-being of the resident population», he concludes.
