Portimonense beat Desportivo de Chaves 2-1, in a game from the 11th round of the I Football League, played this Saturday, November 11th, in Portimão.

The Algarve team put on a good, very solid performance and achieved a fair victory.

The first goal came in the 19th minute, through Hélio Varela, who received a pass on the right, dodged an opponent and shot into the back of the net (the ball even deflected off Phete before going in).

Rocked by the goal, Portimonense extended the game in the 39th minute. Igor Formiga crossed, Dener headed against the bar, but Ronie, at the tip of the spear, reloaded… with a cart.

The Algarve team went into half-time leading by two and, in the second half, despite continuing to be better, they had to suffer a little.

Chaves appeared better and, in the last minutes, reduced it with a great goal from Benny (87′).

Portimonense managed, however, to hold on to their advantage and score three important points before the international break. Portimonense now has 14 points and is in 9th place.
