MAR Shopping Algarve is, until November 12th, developing activities, some of which are immersive, using virtual reality, to offer an experience in space.
Installed on the ground floor of this shopping center, the Playnetarium allows a journey through immersive cinema, with films projected in 0º, which leave the public surrounded by images and sounds, giving them the feeling of being inside the environment and the action.
On the weekends, between 11:00 am and 19:00 pm, films are shown: “We Are Guardians”, lasting 25 minutes, “Universo para os pequeninos”, lasting 21 minutes, for pre-school age, 2 to 6 years old, “The origin of Life”, lasting 25 minutes, for over 8 years old, “Sol – Our Star of Life”, lasting 25 minutes, for over 10 years old, “Terra para o Universe”, for over 8 years old, and “Astronomy” for over 10 years old.
In partnership with Centro Ciência Viva, MAR Shopping Algarve also offers moments of solar observation and stargazing on the 11th of November. In this activity, younger children will be able to observe the phenomena visible on the “surface” of the Sun and participate in experiences that help them get to know the star king better.
Solar observation is from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm and stargazing from 19:00 pm to 21:00 pm.
On the 11th and 12th there are also workshops, from 15pm to 00pm: “Sustainable Spaceships”, “Recycled Rocket”, “Space Frames”, “Solar System” and “Helmets”.
