«There is no sweet potato like the one in Aljezur!»

Close to 30 thousand people visited the Festival, in its 25th edition

 

«There is no sweet potato like the one in Aljezur!». This statement was made by Ana Abrunhosa, Minister of Territorial Cohesion, who on Saturday visited the Sweet Potato Festival, in that village on the Costa Vicentina.

The official was just one of around 30 thousand people who passed by, to see the quality of a product that is PGI and has been established over the last quarter of a century, since this event (and other initiatives) began.

In the year's news, who tried Ferrerogil? Or the Sweet Potato Mon Chéri? If you didn't go there, all you can do is watch this video report and wait, with your mouth watering, for the next festival, in a year's time.

As for sweet potatoes, the Lyra variety, from Aljezur, you can buy them in the best supermarkets in the near future. But check the origin.
