Lagos will host the second edition of the Algarve Sailing Summit

Aimed at «members, athletes, referees, employees, clubs, managers, public and private institutions, coaches, sponsors and the sailing family»

The second edition of the Algarve Sailing Summit will take place on the 10th of November, in the Auditorium of the Municipality of Lagos, organized by the Associação Regional de Vela do Sul.

The conference will debate the «perspectives of the sport of Sailing», with the presence of regional and national sailors, «the Algarve clubs and their challenges», «the future of the sport and today's challenges», and even «more and better support and investments for the sport", with the presence of officials from public and private bodies.

The program culminates with the “Champions Gala” to reward Algarve sailors and hand over the Algarve Championship trophies, referring to the 2022/2023 season that has now ended, followed by a dinner with the sailors and other members of the clubs.

«We return this year with new projects, new objectives and new goals, bringing together all the knowledge capital of the various sports agents in the sport, with a view to sharing experiences, raising awareness among decision-makers, enhancing the practice of the sport and defining strategies to capture more and better nautical events for the Algarve region», explains the Sailing Association.

Given the limited number of seats in the Auditorium, it is necessary to confirm, by the 8th, the number of people present, as well as indicate their name and role, by email at [email protected]

The Algarve Sailing Summit has the support of the Lagos City Council, the Lagos Sailing Club and the Lagos Marina.

The Southern Sailing Regional Association was created 42 years ago, in Faro, and its main objectives are to coordinate, promote and develop the sport of sailing in its multiple forms, in the districts of Évora, Beja and Faro.
