The Parish Council of Albufeira and Olhos de Água will promote three sessions, in Portuguese and English, on the theme “How to Survive an Earthquake. Be prepared!”, on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of November, from 20:00 pm to 21:00 pm.

On the 22nd and 24th of November, the sessions will take place at the Parish Council building in Albufeira. The lecture on the 24th will be in English, aimed at all foreign residents of the city.

The other session takes place on November 23rd, at the council building in Olhos de Água.

These moments will be facilitated by Paulo Severino, a specialist in crisis and emergencies, and the objective is to «transmit concepts and advice to the population to deal with a strong earthquake», according to the Union of Parishes of Albufeira and Olhos de Água.

Despite being an impossible event to predict, «science tells us that this possibility is very real and the population must be trained to face it».

Those interested in participating in these free lectures must register via email [email protected] or at the two Parish Council buildings (Albufeira and Olhos de Água), as spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

At the end of the lecture, all participants will receive a certificate, which certifies their participation in it.
