The D.AM.A. they will perform on New Year's Eve, in Quarteira, the Loulé Chamber has just announced. The celebration program, which will last four days, will also include a tribute to Dire Straits.

The 11th São Silvestre Race marks the start of the initiatives, on December 28th, in a sports night that combines physical activity with socializing.

At 20:30 pm, this race begins, which is already a classic and which, year after year, brings together close to 1000 athletes of all ages.

These days, Passeio das Dunas becomes a stage where some local and national artists will pass, to entertain the local community but also the many tourists who are in the Algarve these days. On the 29th, at 21:30 pm, musician Marc Noah, accompanied by his guitar, takes the stage. An hour later the party takes place with Time Machine (Revenge of the 90's) featuring the biggest hits of the 90's.

And speaking of musical hits, on the 30th, at 22pm, the program proposes yet another return to the past, through a Tribute to Dire Straits where there will be no shortage of true anthems from Mark Knopfler's band such as “Money for Nothing”, “Sultans of Swing” or “So far Away”. This night ends with DJ Kamala.

New Year's Eve will begin with DJ Luís Luz (21:30 pm). An hour later, DAMA's performance takes place, followed, at 00:00, by a fireworks display.

The party continues into the early hours, with a performance of “Who is Bob?”, a tribute to Bob Marley.

All initiatives included in this animation program are free to enter.

These initiatives are promoted by the Loulé City Council, with the support of the Quarteira Parish Council.
