The “H20 & Sustainability Summit” will take place on the 19th and 20th of October, at the University of Algarve and at the UAlg Tec Campus.

This event, which focuses on innovation in the areas of water, sustainability and circular economy, will feature a conference, in which national and international speakers will address critical aspects, linked to innovation, technology and data, digital transformation, internet of things, data science , artificial intelligence and machine learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, metaverse, among others.

Universities and Research Centers, Municipalities, companies/organizations and startups from different countries and regions will come together, promoting the sharing of scientific knowledge, networking and business opportunities.

In addition to the conference, a fair will take place at the UAlg Tec Campus facilities, a space for companies, organizations, universities, research centers and startups to present their innovative solutions and technologies to participants.

In July this year, the Municipality of Faro formalized a Technical-Scientific Partnership Agreement, as a reference partner for the H2O & Sustainability Innovation HUB and Working Group, wishing that these connections extend to the entire region.

Furthermore, it has taken several measures, such as, for example, the preparation and implementation of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan (PAAC).

The project began in the first half of 2023 and currently has the participation of: 47 universities and research centers; 48 pioneering startups and 17 participating countries.
