Farense loses against Lank Vilaverdense and is eliminated from the Portuguese Cup

The Algarve ended up losing 3-0 against the II League team

This Sunday, October 22nd, Farense was eliminated from the Portuguese Cup after losing 3-2 against Länk Vilaverdense, a team from the II League. 

The Algarve ended up losing 3-0 after goals scored by Lénio (54 minutes), João Caiado (87) and Bruno Silva (90+1), but in stoppage time there was a small turnaround with Talocha (90+ 3) and Bruno Duarte (90+8, penalty) to reduce.

Farense is the third team from the I Liga to be eliminated in the third round of the Portuguese Cup, after Moreirense and Rio Ave were eliminated by Paredes (Campeonato de Portugal) and Torreense (II Liga), respectively.

Länk Vilaverdense managed, with this result, to qualify for the fourth round of the Portuguese Football Cup.
