Praça da República in Portimão (Alameda) will host, from this Wednesday until Sunday, the third edition of Live & Loud Fest, starting at 21pm and free entry.
This year's edition has the motto “Celebrate April – 5 days, 5 decades” and is part of the Celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, being organized by the Marginália association with the support of the Municipality and Parish of Portimão.
On the first night, which honors the 70s, the poster includes the band “Who is Bob?”, in a tribute to the mythical Bob Marley, and Plastice with their fusion music within the world music.
The oldest Tribute to Xutos & Pontapés in the country will be shown at Live & Loud on September 7th. Since 1999, they have been traveling the country playing the best songs from Portugal's most emblematic band.
This Thursday, which celebrates the 80s, the Banda Atlântica, composed of Zé Manel Martins, Kim Brandão and Jorge Carrilho, will also take the stage, taking the audience on a journey from Africa to Brazil.
On the night of September 8th, the keep the faith, in a tribute to Bon Jovi and the 90s, and Ser, a band made up of excellent musicians led by the voice of Anita Nobre.
At the end of the week, the 2000s and 2010s are celebrated.
On Saturday, Ally Garrido, accompanied by a band, gives body and voice to one of the greatest singers of recent times, Amy Winehouse.
On the same night, you can attend Carolina Fonson's concert with her band, which promises to bring a lot rock and roll to Alameda de Portimão.
The festival ends on Sunday with performances by Foo Riders, who will pay tribute to the Foo Fighters on the Live & Loud stage. The great hits of Dave Grohl's band will be remembered on a night that also features the dapunksportif, a visceral rock band that emerged in 2024 in Peniche.
