Feira da Praia returns to Vila Real de Santo António in October

Fair takes place between the 9th and 15th of October

The traditional Feira da Praia returns to Vila Real de Santo António, between the 9th and 15th of October, to liven up the city's Historic Center.

This year, the fairground is distributed along Avenida da República, the riverside area (wall) and Praça Marquês de Pombal, welcoming thousands of visitors, mainly Spanish, who, on the 12th of October, a public holiday in Spain, head to this Algarve city.

The fair includes entertainment, utilities, utensils and clothes on display on Avenida da República and the riverside, as well as food products and taverns.

This year, and for the first time, the fair will have an entertainment program, with several concerts and shows, with free entry, taking place between the 12th and 15th of October, at 21:30 pm, on the stage installed on the city's riverside.

The Beach Fair, the name by which it has always been known, began in 1765, in front of the sands of Monte Gordo. Later, in 1774, when Vila Real de Santo António was founded, it was transferred to the town, gaining the function of social and economic expansion and with the objective of promoting fishing.

The fair takes place between the 9th and 15th of October – on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 15th between 10am and 00am and the 1th, 00th and 12th between 13am and 14am.

The Entertainment Program takes place in the Ribeirinha Zone (north of the PSP station), at 21:30 pm and on the 12th it features Zé Aníbal, on the 13th with Duo Reflexo, on the 14th with Cookie Monsters and on the 15th with Nelson Santos.
