IPMA Summer School brought together 18 graduates in Tavira

The project has as partners the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and the CCV of Tavira, being financed by EEA Grants

The Summer School of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) on “Coastal Geosystem Services – The case of the Ria Formosa” brought together, from the 10th to the 16th of September, 18 trainees. 

«The program was varied, with lectures by guest researchers, guided boat tour, two days of fieldwork that included collection of sediments and vegetation and acquisition of water parameters as well as topographic and aerophotogrammetic surveys, bathymetry and current characterization», says IPMA.

The data acquired was processed and on the last day, Saturday the 16th, the students worked on a topic of their choice that they presented.
