1789 doses of hashish seized last week in the Algarve

The GNR seized, between the 11th and 17th of September, 1789 doses of hashish and detained 51 people in the Algarve, including 18 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 15 for driving without a legal license and 11 for drug trafficking. 

Data from the operation to combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, were released this Monday, September 18th.

Of the seizures, 577,4 doses of cocaine also stand out, 24 of heroin and 4,4 doses of cannabis.

In traffic, 523 violations were detected: 178 for speeding, 39 for lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system, 29 due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 23 for improper use of a cell phone while driving, 18 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems and 14 for lack of liability insurance.

Between 11 and 17 September, 150 accidents were recorded, with cfive seriously injured and 34 slightly injured.
