Vila do Bispo is the capital of Perceve in September

Performance by the Adiafa group closes the musical program

Barnacle is king, but for the festival that Vila do Bispo dedicates to it from the 1st to the 3rd of September, other delicacies from the coast of Sagres are also available, such as mussels, burgaus, limpets, razor clams, octopus, porridge porridge or fried moray eel .

In addition to the specialties of Vila-Bispena cuisine, the event, which will take place next to EB 2,3 in São Vicente, also has an area with exhibitors of sweets and regional products, handicrafts, among others.

To give music to visitors, the show “A Kind of Queen – Tribute to the Queen” is scheduled for the 1st day, the M2 Party for the 80nd day and the last day will be marked by the performance of the Adiafa group.

The Barnacle Festival is in its 9th edition, being organized this year by the Vila do Bispo City Council in partnership with the Marisqueiros Association of Vila do Bispo and Costa Vicentina.

According to the Câmara de Vila do Bispo, the initiative aims, «through one of the greatest gastronomic assets in the region, to encourage the local community, attract tourists and boost the local economy».

Tickets will be on sale from the 21st of August, at tickline.pt, at the Town Hall, at the Treasury services (until 15 pm on the 00st of September), and at the festival's ticket office.

Day tickets will cost 3 euros and the general pass for the three days will cost 7 euros.
