Ana Mendes Godinho visits Olhos de Água nursery school and opens another one in Portimão

Ana Mendes Godinho, Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, will this Friday, September 1st, inaugurate the expansion of the nursery at Lar da Criança in Portimão and visit the new Nursery in Olhos de Água. 

The inauguration of the expansion of the kindergarten facility at the Lar da Crianças de Portimão, at the Ouriva hub, located in the Urbanização Quinta da Ouriva, Lot 15 (Ladeira do Vau), takes place at 10 am.

The increase, carried out within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, translates into 42 more vacancies, divided into three classrooms: 10 vacancies in the nursery, 14 in the 1-2 year old classroom and 18 in the 2-3 year old classroom, for in addition to the 204 already existing.

On the same day, but at 16 pm, Ana Mendes Godinho visits the new nursery in the municipality of Albufeira, inserted in the Residential Structure for the Elderly, Day Care, Home Care Service and Nursery at Olhos de Água, which was inaugurated on the 20th of August.

Here, the minister will sign the partnership protocol for the implementation and monitoring of the core guarantee for children in Albufeira. This nursery has capacity for 46 children.

The head of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security will also meet with the Algarve mayors, at 14 pm, at the headquarters of AMAL, in Faro.

Also this Friday, at 16 pm, in Vila Nova de Cacela, in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, Ana Sofia Antunes, secretary of state for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, will be at the inauguration of the new Red Cross crèche, built in an old primary school.
