«Water is not just yours, nobody’s water»: “Entre Aspas” appeal to water awareness

Music released in partnership with Águas do Algarve is called «3 Minutes»

The group “Entre Aspas” joined Águas do Algarve to, through music, raise awareness of water awareness and water saving.

«In this challenging period, it is crucial to remember that change starts with each one of us», emphasizes Águas do Algarve, who believes that «by using music as a vehicle to raise awareness of water saving, we manage to reach a wider audience and involve him emotionally in the cause».

With these objectives in mind, with the voice of Viviane, guitars by Tó Viegas, bass by Nuno Filhó, keyboards by Filipe Valetim, and drums by Rui Freire, “Entre Aspas” presents the song entitled “3 Minutos”.

«Water is not yours alone, water is nobody's» is one of the most heard phrases in the song that is part of Águas do Algarve's awareness strategy throughout the Algarve region.

In a note, the company recalls that the low rainfall that was felt in the Algarve during the hydrological year 2022 and 2023, and a general increase in the average air temperature, causes the current levels of dams in the region to be lower than desired for this time of year.

« In the last decade, human consumption has stabilized at around 70 million m3/year. Although there is a decrease in water reserves for public supply in the Algarve region, the existing amount is sufficient to meet consumption needs, without any limitations. However, this does not mean that we can waste and abuse its use. Our advice is that water is always used without wasting it, regardless of whether we are in a dry period or not», reinforces Águas do Algarve.
