GNR dismantles drug trafficking network that transported drugs from the Algarve to Almodôvar

More than 900 doses of drugs were seized

The GNR detained three men and a woman and claims to have dismantled a "drug trafficking network" that bought the product and transported it from the Algarve to Almodôvar, in Baixo Alentejo, where it was then sold.

In a statement, the Territorial Command of Beja of the GNR explains that the suspects, between 23 and 40 years old, were arrested on Tuesday, as part of an investigation that was taking place "for about two years", with the military seizing 884 doses of hashish and 33,5 doses of cocaine.

The GNR complied with six search warrants, four at home and two in vehicles, which culminated in the seizure of the drug, two knives with hashish residue, 19.370 euros in cash, six mobile phones, a tablet, two precision scales, a vehicle and an electric velocipede.

The detainees will be present for the first judicial interrogation at the Court of Almodôvar, for the application of any coercive measures.
