The UHF band is the most resonant name on the poster for Ameixial Summer Fest 2023, a musical event that will take place between the 11th and 15th of August in the water mirror of Seiceira and in Largo da Igreja, in this village in the interior of Loulé.
Over five days, concerts of different musical styles will be promoted on various stages, "with different party concepts on each day", according to the Desportivo Ameixialense Group, which organizes the festival.
In addition to the concerts, the program includes a sunset with live music, a pool party with DJs, light shows, gastronomy, handicrafts and regional products, inflatables for children, dances, traditional games, comedy, hiking and night mountain biking.
On the 11th of August, a Friday, and on Saturday, the 12th, «the stages will be set up in the picnic park of Fonte da Seiceira, where, in addition to attending the concerts, visitors can also stroll through the craft fair and local products».
The first night starts with a guided night mountain biking tour with performances by artists Emanuel Martins and Tânia. The party continues into the night to the rhythm of electronic music with a performance by DJ Massive Child.
On Saturday, entitled the «Young Day», the party starts at 15 pm with a performance by DJ Royal Piress in the water mirror, «where visitors can enjoy the best Latin rhythms and dance, as well as take the opportunity to take a dip and enjoy a cold drink».
At the same time, the «Kids Space» will be open and working, where children can enjoy the inflatables, as well as do face painting and other activities.
From 18 pm onwards, visitors can also take part in the guided walk «The charms of Vascão».
In the late afternoon, at sunset, Fernando Leal will perform, «an artist from the Algarve who has already stepped on major stages, including The Voice Portugal».
After dinner, Rúben Filipe is in charge of the venue's entertainment.
That same night, UHF will perform, a national rock band «which 25 years after its performance in this mountain village is back to provide all its fans with a magnificent night of rock».
After the concert, the night continues with the best electronic music hits at a pool party, to the sound of the Bubba Brothers DJ collective.
The night ends with “Revoada das Novinhas”, a show with funk, rave funk, forró and sertanejo rhythms».
The 13th of August will be dedicated to traditional games, «with special emphasis on the game of Malha.
On the 14th, the festivities change location and move to the Church Stage, “where the organization intends to rescue the traditions of yesteryear through “dancer” and food and drinks in this iconic space of the village. That night, the ball is in charge of Nelson Santos».
On the 15th of August, and as it is the day of the annual fair, the party continues on the Church Stage in the form of a dancing matinee, as early as 15 pm, with a performance and animation by Filipe Romão.
The «Ameixial Summer Fest» is organized by Grupo Desportivo Ameixialense and has the institutional support of the Parish Council of Ameixial and the Municipality of Loulé.
