Two men suspected of being the authors of the attacks and assault with a knife, on a person on an avenue in Praia da Rocha, in the early hours of June 1, were detained by the Criminal Investigation Squadron of the Portimão Police Division, announced the District Command of the PSP .
The suspects, aged 21 and 31, were arrested for committing the crime of robbery, having been caught with the help of images obtained through the CCTV system, installed in the Praia da Rocha area.
The duo attacked and threatened a citizen with a knife, who stole his wallet, having then tried to make "withdrawals of cash at ATMs in the vicinity", explains the PSP.
"The two suspects were located on Friday afternoon, being detained outside the flagrante delicto, through a warrant issued by the Criminal Police Authority", adds the PSP in a note sent to the newsrooms.
The detainees were already present in the 1st judicial interrogation on Saturday, being applied the measure of coercion of periodic presentations in the PSP while awaiting trial.
