A sailboat, about 15 meters long and carrying eight people on board, ran aground during the afternoon of this Wednesday, June 28, in a rocky area, between the beaches of Luz (Lagos) and Burgau (Vila do Bispo).
The alert was received at 17:40.
Upon arrival at the boat, the local commander of the Maritime Police and captain of the Port of Lagos asked for the support of maritime tourist vessels, which were in the area, to transport the passengers from the sailboat to land.
Two of the occupants remained on board so that, with the support of the vessel from the Lifeguard Station in Sagres, the sailboat could be removed from the rocky area, which was then taken to the Port of Lagos.
