Last round of the Dolphin Championship will take place this Saturday in Albufeira

Little stars from soccer schools, children from 5 to 8 years old, compete in the final of the Championship

The Municipal Stadium of Albufeira will be the stage for the last round of the Dolphins Championship. The start of the event is scheduled for 15:00, tomorrow, Saturday, June 3rd, with the various games taking place until close to 17:00.

The little stars of the football schools, children aged 5 to 8, reach the Championship final, in a journey that promises a lot of emotion, not only for the athletes but also for the parents, clubs, coaches and public that followed the event throughout. of the five rounds and that this year had the participation of young players from Núcleo do Sporting do Algarve as a guest club.

The mayor of Albufeira emphasizes that “these meetings aim to promote sport, inclusion and companionship at an early stage in children's lives”. José Carlos Rolo says that “the prizes don't matter, this is a healthy competition, in which fair play, camaraderie and sportsmanship are ahead of the goals scored. In the end everyone is a winner,” he says.

Cristiano Cabrita, councilor responsible for Sports, reiterates the President's statements, adding "that it is a matter of continuing the investment in training the younger levels, highlighting the importance of sport, drawing attention to the values ​​that must underlie the practice of the modality and support associations”.

The mayor took the opportunity to congratulate all athletes, parents and sports clubs involved in the Championship.
