“Nu Meio – Bailão” to see at Teatro de Palha

Tickets cost 10 euros

The show "Nu Meio – Bailão” will take place at Teatro de Palha, from “Lavrar o Mar”, in Aljezur, on the 8th of June, from 21:30.

Mila (Filipa Francisco) and Firmino (Bruno Cochat) head to Aljezur for this show that, since 1996, curses the condition of being Portuguese, always with a lot of humor.

“Nu Meio” ironizes the relationship of a typically Portuguese couple who take refuge in fado and maledicence. The man, Firmino, demarcates a territory in the middle of the stage from which the two characters cannot leave.

The woman, Mila, tries obsessively to climb, to grab, to suffocate this “man-mountain”. The dialogue between the characters is like a soap opera, full of commonplaces, words that explain encounters and disagreements, strident laughter and church songs transformed into operetta.

At the end of the show there is a dance, enlivened by DJ António-Pedro aka Mister António.
